Doku Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Doku Service operated by Kuma Stories Ltd., including the iOS app, Android app, website, streaming, AI-assisted creation, community, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The End User License Agreement governs the software license and applies where relevant. The Privacy Notice explains data processing; it is not a statement that you consent to every processing activity.

You accept these Terms by using a clear acceptance control presented by Doku or, where legally effective, by continuing to use the Service after these Terms have been presented to you. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you. Doku is not intended for children under 13.

Some features are available through a guest session and others require an account. You are responsible for activity under your account or guest session and for keeping credentials and devices secure. You must provide accurate account information and must not impersonate another person, evade enforcement, sell accounts, or use another person’s credentials. Notify Doku promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

2. AI-Assisted Features

Doku may use third-party AI and media systems to respond to text, voice, or other inputs (“Inputs”). You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for your Inputs. Do not submit another person’s private information, likeness, voice, copyrighted work, or confidential material unless you are authorized.

AI-generated results (“Outputs”) may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, non-unique, or similar to outputs provided to others. Doku does not promise that an Output is copyrightable, exclusive, suitable for publication, or free of third-party rights. You must review Outputs before publishing, distributing, or relying on them. Outputs are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

The rights in and protectability of Inputs and Outputs depend on applicable law and third-party rights. The licenses you grant Doku to process Inputs and other User Content are described in Section 3. To the extent Doku has rights it can grant in an Output, Doku permits you to use that Output under these Terms. Separate written terms are required for any paid production, exclusive commissioning, or platform-financed adaptation.

3. Your Content and License to Doku

You retain the rights you have in original Inputs and content you create. When you upload, save, or publish content, you grant Doku a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, for only as long as reasonably needed, to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, display, moderate, and distribute that content solely to operate, secure, and provide the Service according to the visibility and feature choices you make.

The operational license ends when the content and associated backups are deleted, except for limited copies required by law, safety, dispute preservation, or content that has been irreversibly de-identified.

Doku may not use private drafts or unpublished Inputs for general model training, external advertising, commercial adaptation, or a Produced UGC Series without a separate, specific agreement or affirmative opt-in. Publishing content publicly does not by itself grant those additional rights.

4. Safety Rules and Moderation

You may not use Doku to create, request, upload, or share content or conduct involving:

Doku may use automated and human review, restrict generation, preserve evidence, limit visibility, remove content, suspend features or accounts, and report matters where reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement, or law. Doku provides reporting and blocking tools for public user-generated content. For an unsafe or offensive AI Output, use the in-app report control when available or contact root@kumadrama.com.

Doku will review reports within a reasonable period based on severity and available information; it does not promise a universal 24-hour resolution. Enforcement may be appealed where required by law or offered by the product.

5. Doku Content and Third-Party Services

Doku and its licensors retain all rights in the app, software, licensed dramas, branding, and platform content, excluding User Content. We grant only the limited access and app license described in these Terms and the EULA. Third-party login, AI, media, sharing, app-store, and device services may have their own terms, and you must comply with applicable terms.

6. Copyright Notices

A valid copyright notice should identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, the complaining party’s contact information, the required good-faith and accuracy statements, and an authorized signature. Counter-notice procedures and repeat-infringer treatment will follow applicable law.

7. Suspension, Termination, and Deletion

You may stop using Doku at any time and may request account and associated-data deletion as described at Account and Data Deletion and in the Privacy Notice. Doku may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, legal or safety risk, fraud, or threats to the Service. Where appropriate and legally required, Doku will provide notice or an opportunity to appeal.

Termination ends the app and service license, but provisions that by nature must survive—such as ownership, preserved legal records, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—continue only to the extent permitted by law. Account deletion and contract termination are related but not identical; deletion is governed by the Privacy Notice and deletion page.

8. Disclaimers and Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. Doku is not responsible for User Content or AI Outputs except as required by law, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every Output will be accurate or suitable. Any liability limit or excluded-damage language applies only to the extent allowed by law and preserves mandatory consumer rights.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence continue to apply. Before beginning formal proceedings, you and Doku agree to provide written notice of the dispute and allow a reasonable opportunity for informal resolution. Eligible small-claims rights are preserved.

10. Changes

For material changes, Doku will provide advance notice appropriate to the change and request renewed acceptance where required. The effective date and version at the top identify this edition.
